For this project we were provided with a program of spaces needed within this community center as well as a floor plan with the shell of the building as well as existing columns.  We were to select an area within the program to further develop; I chose to focus on the pool and locker room areas.  The space is bright and energizing despite having little access to natural light, and offers multiple types of recreation areas within the pool, including a hot tub, small water slide, lap pool, and a water feature for children to play in.  The locker rooms and pool adhere to ADA requirements with a beach-style entry into the pool as well as a pool lift, and a transfer system for hot tub entry.
