The Thicket Home was designed to provide the necessary features of an accessible home in a small and efficient size space.  The shell of the building is already in place, and the owner intends to use the home as a vacation home for themselves, and may list it on a site like AirBNB in order to recover a portion of their investment.  Their goal is to have minimal features with a high-end look and feel.

The home features an open plan that minimizes barriers in order to make the space more accessible, but creates separation of spaces and increases the feeling of privacy in certain areas through variation in ceiling height.  Safety for the community as a whole was also considered in the layout of the space with the largest windows located in the living room and kitchen looking out at areas shared with neighbors.
